Syntax-semantics interface; discourse structure; event semantics; segmented discourse representation theory; pragmatics; information structure; Japanese linguistics; temporal interpretation of complex predicates; the structures of nominal complement constructions in Japanese; focus structure; ethnomethodological studies of drama; linguistic analyses of dialog in drama; and mental-space theoretic studies of complex predicates.
